English Turn is located just 8 miles from downtown New Orleans.  This beautiful property offers a feeling of peacefulness with in its tranquil setting.  Our outdoor ceremony location offers the rare opportunity to celebrate your event outdoors surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque setting of our PGA course as your backdrop.

We look forward to assisting you in planning an elegant ceremony and memorable reception befitting your loving relationship and individuality.  English Turn has been a part of hundreds of beautiful events over the past twenty eight years.  We strive for perfection in service and happily ever after's.

The outdoor area faces two water fountains and the 18th green of the course. The pictures are stunning all year long.  We supply the space and chairs for your ceremony. Our event manager can help you secure other vendors to complete your ceremony and make your day special.

We even have a family of sweet swans that may show up to wish you well.

FAQ for Events

It doesn't get any more magical than a wedding at English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans
With a gorgeous fountain backdrop, English Turn Golf and Country Club will make your New Orleans wedding one to remember.

Do you have to be a member of the club a resident of the community or have a member sponsor you to hold an affair at your location?

No, although English Turn Golf and Country Club is a members only facility, we proudly serve all of your event needs. Golf tournaments, weddings, luncheons, corporate events, socials and any other event requiring an elegant location are suited to our facility.

Can I bring in my own caterer and decor?

In order to adhere to the food handling restrictions set forth by the health department all food and beverage items must be arranged through the club and can  be furnished through an outside professional catering vendor. All outside catering companies must be approved by management.

You may bring in your own decor for any type events held in the clubhouse. Our event staff can help you with floor plans and such to make sure your event set up is correct. We offer a recommended vendor list to all our clients.

Can the Club arrange entertainment, floral design, transportation and other event services?

Yes, we are more than welcomed to refer you to wonderfuls vendors that the club endourses. We welcome all professional wedding planners to assist in planning your event at English Turn.

Is there a fee for parking?

No. Parking at the club is convenient and complimentary, and valet service is always available. Please see your event manager for pricing on valet services.

Can the Club arrange indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies?

English Turn Golf and Country Club offers traditional and  elegant locations for a wedding ceremony. Whether you choose our lush outdoor location offering scenic views and unparalleled privacy or our indoor garden room or dining room with classic design and warmth; the club is the perfect location for your ceremony. Each space can be customized to fit your personal style and can accommodate intimate nuptials or large scale affairs.

If we have our event at the Club, can we play golf?

Tee Times are available and scheduled with in 30 days advance of your event. Your event manager will provide complete details on availability for golf tournaments, bachelor/bachelorette events, and corporate outings. Every wedding reception secured at English Turn will receive complimentary green fees.

Is there a bridal suite provided prior to the ceremony?

We do not have a bridal suite but we do offer the bridal party to dress in our spacious woman's and Men's locker room.

Can we take the left over food and beverage home after our event?

No, FDA regulations do not allow any food from a buffet to be packed up and given to guests.

Do you have certain time frames for receptions or events?

Yes, all events are priced out as a 3 hours event. We require events to conclude at 11:30pm

What happens in the event my wedding is booked and a hurricane is coming?

In the event of a  Hurricane, mandatory evacuation has to be enforced by the city's Mayor in order for us to cancel or postpone the event.  You will then received the option to reschedule your event or receive a full refund
